Easter 2011

Easter was fun this year! Zoey was big enough to get into it a bit. We had their pictures made at the same time we did Zadyn's 1 month pictures.

After taking Zoey for shots, I stopped by Wal-Mart and got some egg dye for us to use.  She had a blast dying eggs... though she couldn't figure out why I wouldn't let her drink from the dye cups... I mean we drink everything else out of cups, right?  haha

Before hunting the eggs, the kids got their Easter baskets!  Zadyn's was filled with chocolate (HAHA) and baby toys.  Zoey's was filled with the same and a movie, books, and a baby doll with bottles that look real.  She adores that doll and those bottles! 

We also took pics with the legendary bunny ears that we started using with Zoey on her first Easter!

After dying them, we got to hunt them the very next day!  Zoey enjoyed it, though our eggs had started sweating off their dye and were really messy.  Note to self, let them sit out of the fridge for a few hours before hunting them!  Zadyn was not pleased with the egg hunting experience.  He just wanted to come in and eat!

We spent Sunday morning at church, Zadyn's first trip to church, and then after almost missing all the daylight while taking a nap.... Zoey and I rushed out to hide/hunt eggs again.

The Greatest Mother of All

I know, I know... everyone thinks that their momma is the greatest.  That's fine and dandy and they should.  But... here are some reasons (in no particular order) why I think my momma is...

1.  She is selfless.... all the time with her whole, entire family!  I can't describe the help she's been with my    
     babies and everything else!
2.  She loves her children more than her life itself!
3.  She loves her grandbabies even more than that!
4.  She is the greatest friend on earth that I will ever have!
5.  I can tell her anything!
6.  She always has my back!
7.  She has taught me about Jesus since I was a baby and continues to do so with my babies!
8.  She is strong! She has been through SO many physical battles with her health, yet she keeps going!
9.  She is my Rock!
10. She always encourages me and helps me to make the right decisions.

Happy Mother's Day ... A Day I Can Now Enjoy!

Mother's Day use to be a day that I really dreaded.  It was so difficult to listen to everyone sing the praises of a mother when I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I couldn't be one.  I loved it because I have the best mother ever, but I wanted in on the secret....I wanted to be a mom.  I wanted to feel that kind of love and share that kind of bond with my children.  God blessed me (though I am so very undserving) and He made me a mother!  In 2008... I sat in church holding back the tears as an infertile on Mother's Day.  In 2009... I sat in church with a grin, a heart full of praise, and a tiny grain of rice in my womb.  In 2010... I proudly walked to the front when the mothers were called up by our pastor with my little Zoey Danielle.  In 2011... I again made that walk... but with a new addition... Zadyn Michael.  I cannot even put into words what I feel for these two miracle babies.  God knows my heart.  He knows that my whole perspective on life and the things in it have changed.  I have always been level headed and tried to make good choices... now my choices all revolve around my babies. I wouldn't have it any other way!  I Pray that I can be a good momma to them just as my momma has been to me!
